Montion Capture 

Short Description:

Implemented realistic character animations using Rokoko full-body and facial motion capture, improving game immersion and player experience.

What I Did / How I Did It:

  • Captured actors’ full-body movements and facial expressions using Rokoko motion capture suit.
  • Created animation controllers for body and facial movements.
  • Ensured smooth transitions and synchronization between captured motions.
  • Refined motion data in Blender for natural movement and expressions.

Why I Did It This Way:

  • Using Rokoko allowed for natural and expressive full-body and facial animations.
  • Blender provided precise control for cleaning and fine-tuning motion data and facial expressions.

Challenges / Lessons Learned:

  • Initial captures had jitter in fast movements; solved by refining cleanup workflow.
  • Learned the importance of bone hierarchy and blend shapes consistency.
  • Next improvement: experiment with more complex facial expressions and emotional.
